A BUS driver has been arrested for keeping a tourist’s mobile phone worth €500.
The 35-year-old driver allegedly found the phone, which an Irish man had forgotten on a bus from Malaga Airport to a Torremolinos hotel.
Routine inspections by National Police officers in second-hand shops in Malaga City resulted in the policemen spotting an expensive-looking mobile phone changing hands without any paperwork.
Investigators found that the phone belonged to the tourist and believe the driver, who worked for a private bus company, had found it on the bus and pocketed it before selling it on.
