A TOTAL of 224 public homes of Motril will have their windows renewed thanks to a project launched by the Junta de Andalucia regional government.
With a budget of €710,989, this project will generate 946 daily wages and affect homes around different streets of the village.
In the Huerta Carrasco neighbourhood, 118 will be benefited, distributed in six buildings of Calle Venus and four in Calle Urano. Works in this neighbourhood are expected to be completed by March.
In the neighbourhood of Los Alamos, 106 will see their windows renewed, distributed in four buildings at Calle Cuertel de Simancas.
“This is a highly ambitious project carried out by the Junta to increase its inhabitants’ quality of life and also reduce electricity consumption,” said Manuel Morales, the Regional Government’s representative in Motril.
