Marbella cleaners get better equipment

Marbella Council has provided the street-cleaning department with modern, new additions to its equipment in keeping with the town’s Smart City policy.

Eloy Ortega, councillor for the Cleaning department, explained that new electric machinery had been purchased that would reduce the noise locals have to put up with while public areas are cleaned.

An electric vehicle which does not contaminate or make excess noise will back up the service and is small enough to be driven in narrow areas.

Three new battery-powered ‘blowers’ have also been added to the service’s tools to reinforce the work of street sweepers.
