UNEMPLOYMENT has given the Balearic Islands a break with the addition of 22,300 people to the work force in 2014.
The region’s unemployment rate has registered its lowest figure since 2009, with 18.88 per cent of the total population currently being jobless, around 111,400 people.
The data has been provided by the Active Population Survey (EPA), conducted by the national Institute of Statistics (INE).
