THE Blood Bank Foundation of Islas Baleares (FBSTJ) has called on all residents between 18 and 65 years old all to give blood in Mallorca today (January 19).
“We need your help urgently,” said a message from the FBSTJ on their social network, and added that the donations can be carried out at their office in Palma (Calle Rosello I Caçador, 20) in Campos, Porto Colom (Felanitx), at the shopping centre Carrefour at Coll d’en Rabassa and at a mobile unit in front of Mercadona in Manacor.
The most requested blood types are 0+, A- or AB, but also 0- and B-.
The association pointed out that three different patients can be treated with only one donation.
Expats are encouraged to check if they are suitable for blood donation beforehand.
