THE French sailors on board Dongfeng Race Team – currently leading the third leg of the Volvo Ocean Race – took time out from their sailing duties to condemn the terrorist attack on the Charlie Hebdo magazine offices in Paris last week that resulted in the deaths of 12 staff members.
Sailors Thomas Rouxel and Eric Peron were pictured on board holding “Je suis Charlie” cards, as was Dongfeng Race Team skipper Charles Cuadrelier.
“Any other day we are Dongfeng Race Team, but today we are Charlie #JeSuisCharlie,” said the team.
