Nerja Caves show positive results

THE Nerja Caves continue to be one of the most popular tourist attractions in Malaga, with a two per cent increase in visits during 2014.

Over the past year, 387,596 people visited the famous caves, although this number is still far from the 527,096 visitors reached in 2001, a historical record.

In any case, the most important natural monument of Nerja has been able to maintain a positive trend after the period between 2006 and 2011, when the figures dropped.

The surveys carried out during the past year have shown that tourists highly appreciated the improvement of the information supplied, through guided visits, audio guides and maps.
