THE hotel occupancy rate in Nerja during the Christmas holidays reached 75 per cent.
Between December 24 and 31, the national average for hotel occupancy was 57.4 per cent, a figure much lower than the town’s average, a very positive result.
In addition, the Tourism Office of Nerja received 1,533 visits during this period, mostly by British citizens, followed by Spanish, German, Swedish and French tourists. A total of 154 calls were received, including 33 from Norway.
