Student finds €6,000 in a very rich cake

A VALLADOLID University student found a cheque for €6,000 inside a Roscon de Reyes traditional cake eaten on January 6.

Confiteria Conrado in La Bañeza, Leon, has been hiding a cheque inside one of the cakes it makes and sells between January 2 and 5 for the last six years.

This year’s winner, 24-year-old Elisa Gomez, who lives in Villafranca del Bierzo, received the cake as a gift from her god-mother.
