ALMUÑECAR Town Council will ask for financial aid to restore a wall built by the Arab civilisation.
With more than 3,000 years of history, the heritage of the town is one of the most important cultural and tourist attractions.
With this in mind, the town council has asked permission from the Development Ministry to be part of a programme for conservation of the national historical heritage.
“With this financial aid we could preserve the monument and avoid the risk of it collapsing at the stretch which was named an asset of cultural interest, located at the area around the pottery centre,” said town mayor Trinidad Herrera, who added that it is a highly important issue for the town to reduce the damage to public monuments and hopes that the application’s result will be positive.
