GIFTS: most people born on the islands prefer getting them on January 6.
MOST people on the Baleares prefer getting gifts from the Three Kings rather than Santa Claus.
Four out of five people born on the Balearic Islands – 98 per cent – said they would rather get their gifts on January 6 and not on December 25, and 64 per cent said they planned to go the Three King’s Parade, held on January 5 held all over Spain according to a survey conducted by DaWanda.es.
The study looked at 2,500 Spaniards between 18 and 60 years of age. More than half of respondents (54 per cent) said they slept like a baby the night before the arrival of the Three Kings, while 39 per cent admitted to being a little bit nervous.
According to the study, 45 per cent of people want their gifts to be a complete surprise, though one in every three respondents said he or she still wrote a letter to the Three Kings.
A small percentage of tech-savvy (4 per cent) respondents indicated they emailed gift suggestions to their friends and family members, while 2 per cent of them reported posting their wishes on social media.
