THE bond imposed on Iñaki Urdangarin was not calculated correctly, according to his defence attorney, Mario Pascual Vives.
He has filed an appeal with Malaga Court of Investigation Number 3 against the €14.9 million civil liability bond requested by Judge Jose Castro for the Duke’s involvement in the Noos case.
According to Vives, the VAT already paid by the Duke should be deducted from the bond. Judge Castro will study the appeal lodged by King Felipe’s brother-in-law to determine whether the amount payable should in fact be reduced or not, said sources when speaking to the media.
