Marbella street artists can register for 2015

STREET artists who wish to perform in Marbella in 2015 can register now.

The period to submit applications opened on December 22, through the 2015 Plan for Use of Public Spaces with Artistic Activities.

Head of the Commerce, Industry and Public Spaces department, Jose Eduardo Diaz, announced there would be 32 locations for street artists.

“The locations are distributed throughout the places most requested by artists, controlling noise and inconvenience and revitalising the local economy,” said Mr Diaz.

Street artists can perform in areas including the San Pedro Alcantara promenade, Puerto Banus and the newly inaugurated Boulevard of San Pedro. Local Police officers will ensure that all street performers have been authorised by the council.
