NATIONAL POLICE are beefing up security around Malaga province stores and businesses during the Christmas season.
More than 1,200 police officers will be on patrol in Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Marbella, Estepona, Ronda, Antequera and Velez-Malaga to deter criminals and guarantee business owners and their potential clients a safer environment. The special security plan was launched on December 18 and will conclude on January 8.
As part of the security plan, police advise business owners to always lock their stores at night, to keep an exterior light on, to install a doorbell and a remote door opening system, place anti-theft devices on their products, as well as surveillance cameras if possible, and to keep their most expensive products in locked display cases.
