MOJACAR was once again the destination for the annual Christmas ‘bhash’ for Indalo Hash House Harriers.
Once everyone had checked into the hotel and donned their festive outfits they assembled in the car park for the usual circle, and walk or run. Afterwards, everyone gathered at the petrol station near Garrucha before strolling back along the seafront with many Yo Ho Hos being given to passing motorists and even the local police.
Everyone retired to their rooms prior to meeting in the hotel bar for pre-dinner drinks.
After enjoying the talents of a belly dancer, food and in-hash entertainment began. Some cleverly worded carols were sung including an energetic rendering of Partridge in a Pear Tree. Anecdotes were provided by various hashers, plus live music, dancing and more drinking, before transferring to the Irish Bar next door.
Most retired at 2am leaving one hasher holding the fort with a group of Spanish nurses from Murcia. Upon her return at about 3am she took full advantage of the facilities by using the lift at least three times before giving up and finding her way to reception so they could show her the way. Another good Christmas weekend.
