SEVERAL people have been arrested after police launched a series of raids against an anarchist terrorist cell believed responsible for numerous bombings.
The raids, carried out in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday December 16) took place in Barcelona and Madrid, with searches continuing in the Catalan capital. Investigations were centred on the Kasa de la Muntanya cultural centre in Barcelona’s Gracia district.
Several streets around Barcelona’s Park Güell were closed off during the raids which are part of the Pandora case.
Police said a number of arrests were made, but did not say where or how many.
Anarchists have been blamed for a series of bombings, some targeting churches and a cathedral.
