Arrested over Briton’s death

A MAN has been arrested over the hit-and-run death of a British tourist 11 years after the incident.

The 45-year-old Romanian was detained at Malaga airport, but police are unsure if he was the driver or passenger in the vehicle involved in the accident.

A 40-year-old British man who had gone out jogging in Antequera, Malaga, was found by the side of the road with multiple injuries in 2003. He had been staying in a hotel with his partner while on holiday.

A lengthy police investigation followed, but it remains unclear why it has taken so long for an arrest to be made.
