A GANG of six has been arrested in Alicante province for manipulating the mileage on vehicles.
Police arrested the group accused of clocking the mileage of around 30 vehicles, reducing their reading so they can be sold for a greater profit.
The operation was centred in a workshop of San Juan in Alicante, but arrests were also made in El Campello and in Quesada.
Police carried out three inspections in workshops where one vehicle was noted to have had 680,000km on the clock and was being sold on as having ‘only’ done 180,000km.
