A large crowd is expected tomorrow, Friday November 28, at 7pm in Plaza de Cort in Palma for the Christmas lights switch-on, which will officially kick off the festivities.
Palma City Hall will be decorated with a nativity scene by Associacio de Betlemistes de Mallorca, with more than 150 hand-painted clay figures made by Margalida Nicolau. Everyone can visit the scene from Friday until January 6, from 9am until 9pm Monday to Saturday, and from 10am until 8pm on Sundays and holidays.
The nativity scene depicts some of the most emblematic places and streets of the city.
A youth and a children’s choir are scheduled to perform at 6.45pm – just before the lights are switched on – and at 7.05pm respectively, accompanied by Palma Municipal Band.
