Aroma Restaurant – Smell the success!
WHOEVER thought Mallorca was a quiet place during the winter months, has obviously never been to Restaurant Aroma in Calvià.
The vibrant restaurant, owned by Mark Scott, prides itself not only in the fabulous Italian cuisine; Argentinian steaks and weekly Friday night fresh fish and chips but transforms into Calviàs liveliest music spot.
Three times a week, musicians travel from all over Mallorca to gather together and entertain the diners and faithful followers of the best music around. Regular guests of the live music nights include, Joe Cockers sax player, the bass player from The Smiths and musical director Ronnie B.
The 130 cover infamous restaurant is even being filmed by Channel 5 for an exciting new series, entitled ‘OAP’s behaving badly’, when Leapy Lee will be followed round by a crew on December 13th singing his 60’s hit ‘Little Arrows’.
Mark, who spent over 500,000 euros redecorating the restaurant which celebrated its 4th Birthday recently, is definitely front-of-house material. His enthusiasm and magnetism wins over every heart and soul on the Island. His explanation of the varied menu and passion for good food and quality meat oozes through as soon as you are greeted by the outgoing host.
Tables for Christmas lunch are already mostly sold out, and no wonder, when traditional roast turkey lunch is reasonably priced at only 49.95 euros per head.
New Year’s Eve will definitely go off with a bang in Aroma, starting at around 8pm and continuing well into the dawn hours. The restaurant is offering a buffet, live music with ‘The Hats’ and Radio 1 DJ Matt Harris along with loads of fun and games.
The buffet comprising of Aromas famous meat dishes, fish dishes and of course a vegetarian selection, will only cost 35 euros per head.
The restaurant is already half full, so beware; book quickly if you want the best night of the year with some remarkable food and great entertainment.
