Marbella’s ‘Happy’ video makes finals of annual marketing awards

The ‘Happy’ video, which was used as promotional material for Marbella, has been chosen as a finalist for the sixth edition of the Annual Marketing Awards in Malaga.

A jury from the Marketing Club of Malaga along with experts in marketing and publicity reviewed many semi-finalist promotional videos for the sixth edition of these prestigious awards, and Marbella was chosen as one of the finalists.

‘Marbella is Happy’, the promotional video for Marbella, which was put together by the Marbella publicity agents Puraenvidia and directed by Enrique García, had more than 224,000 hits online. The video, lasting three minutes, filmed the primary tourist attractions in Marbella and featured various people including the mayor Angeles Muñoz dancing to the popular Pharrell Williams song ‘Happy’.

Each person danced under a touristic characteristic in the centre of the town, Puerto Banus and Marbella beaches. Among the people starring in the video were famous chef Dani García, dress designer and TV presenter Carmen Lomana, tennis player Manuel Santana and actors Aníbal Soto and Conde Rudy, both residents of Marbella. The video also featured professional cyclist Luis angel Maté, who was born in the town.
