Final collection total announced

THE counting is now done and the total is in for the money raised during the production of Oh! What a lovely war.

The comedy shows were performed in Los Gallardos and Arboleas during the second half of September, entertaining audiences and receiving great feedback. Local businesses came on board, sponsoring performing rights and materials for the shows, ensuring that more of the collected funds went to the charities they were in aid of.

A total of €2223.62 was raised with €1557.71 (plus a collection tin of €146.11) going to the Help 4 heroes charity. The Royal British Legion in Mojacar and in Albox received €259.62 each.

The organiser, Sweet Charity, would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the show including the cast, crew, sponsors and the audience. Through the medium of stage productions, Sweet Charity raises money for deserving causes and had already collected approximately €3,500 prior to the September shows.
