The National Police have detained a 57-year-old woman for multiple thefts from a hospital in San Pedro de Alcantara.
The investigation started after complaints to the police from workers at the hospital, including doctors and nurses, that their work lockers had been forced open and personal items, such as mobile telephones, credit cards and keys had been stolen.
After looking at all the complaints, which narrowed the time of the thefts to the afternoons, police installed special security cameras in the area and the thief was caught red handed, fully indentified and subsequently arrested.
The 57-year-old hospital cleaner was taken into custody and is awaiting a court hearing.
