BUSINESS entrepreneurship is booming in the Baleares. Between January and September this year, the rate of business creation has grown 7 per cent, compared to the same period last year, with 2,286 new companies in the Islands being registered during the first nine months of 2014.
According to a study on business report, September data saw a growth of 54 per cent with 186 new businesses. Construction and trade saw the largest growth within industry.
The capital investment to create these companies in Baleares so far this year is €98 million, 36 per cent more than the previous year.
Madrid was the autonomous community in Spain which saw the most new businesses created, with 15,269 from January to September.
