Marbella invests €600,000 on resurfacing roads

The town hall of Marbella have presented a plan to resurface 36 roads in the Marbella area. The plan which will cost €600,000 is hoped to be signed by December. The resurfacing will cover almost 55,000 square metres and use more than five tons of tarmac, according to the Mayor Angeles Muñoz and Javier Garcia, the work councilor.  

The two zones to be resurfaced are Las Chapas and Miraflores, and the streets throughout the muncipal that will also be retarmaced are the following: Mainake, Lagasca, Pepe Osorio, Guadarranque, Cataluña, Fonseca (Salto del Agua), Santa Ana, José María Gironella, Guadalquivir, La Morera, Retama, or Maestro Don José Alcalá, Isaac Peral (down Puerto de La Bajadilla), Antillas and Alcornoque.

Angeles Muñoz declared that: “Every year, we undertake the responsibility of renovating the public roads to optimise conditions and improve safety.”

 

The ‘Plan de Asfaltado 2014’ was agreed between the town hall and the local Traffic department who determined which districts were most in need of repair.
