ANEMONA members recently celebrated International Breast Cancer Day in Benidorm.
The Marina Baja support group for women and their families who are coping with breast cancer marched through the town’s principal streets to the Levante beach.
Here they unfurled a huge pink ribbon to form the characteristic bow that since 1991 has represented solidarity with breast cancer victims.
Benidorm’s mayor Agustin Navarro applauded the brave and committed women. “They have shown us that it is possible to put up a fight with the strength and support of the people around us,” Navarro said.
