Raising funds to fight breast cancer

RINCON DE LA VICTORIA hosted a charity paella competition on Sunday October 19.

It was organised by AMUAXA Women’s Association and the local Social Welfare Department and the proceeds are to be donated to ASAMMA (an association for women who have undergone surgery for breast cancer) and FMAEC (a Malaga foundation providing assistance to cancer patients).

The paella plates were sold for only €2. The funds raised will serve to develop programmes and projects for the patients and their families, said Social Services Councillor Antonio Jose Martin.

AMUAXA President Maribel Lezcano, ASAMMA President Francisca Aguilar and FMAEC Manager Jose Aldecoa thanked the organisers for their support.
