PSOE calls for resignation of Spain’s Health Minister

SPAIN’S Health Minister should hand in her resignation, said PSOE.

It has been more than a week since the news broke that nursing assistant Teresa Romero had become infected with the Ebola virus, and PSOE is already asking Health Minister Ana Mato to tender her resignation for the crisis.

The socialists made a motion requesting the President to dismiss Mato in view of all the serious mistakes made during the handling of the crisis. The motion is to be voted upon on Tuesday October 28.

The criticism voiced by PSOE was mild at first while the party was waiting for the Government to provide an explanation. It has however become more severe in recent days.
