Marbella opens first dog beach

DOG OWNERS in Marbella will be delighted to know the city inaugurated its first dog beach on Wednesday October 15.

Located at Lindavista, San Pedro Alcantara, the beach has a 300-linear metre demarcated area dogs can use between October 15 and May 15. Marbella Council had requested authorisation from the Junta de Andalucia to set up similar areas on Playa Artola-Cabonipo and El Pinillo, but only Lindavista has been given the green light by the Junta so far.

Health Councillor Alicia Jimenez said dog owners are responsible for their dogs’ behavior and that they must observe the same regulations applicable on city streets.
