AFTER a year and a half of intense renovation, Hotel La Escondida opened on October 6 in Alicante.
This hotel is located amidst 200 hectares of olive trees, and a forest of almond trees. It combines breathtaking views with a refined interior design and a simple and delightful ambience.
The property used to belong to Barcelona’s ex-manager Terry Venables and is located 30 minutes outside of Alicante and its beautiful beaches.
According to the owners, while preparing for a restful night’s sleep the only sound you will hear at night is the distant ringing of the goat bells from the herds in the distance.
During restoration of the building, the aesthetic rustic feel was preserved. It was important to the owners to preserve the charm and history of the property. Many of the original features have been kept, including hand-painted oak beams, antique machine parts for decoration, and old tiles.
The original house built on the property dates back to 1881 when it was used as a hunting lodge. Be sure not to miss this hidden gem!
