A YOUNG man has been shot in the stomach following a bar fight in Malaga.
The 30-year-old remains in Malaga’s Carlos Haya hospital after being shot, and although the wound is to a delicate area of the body, sources connected to the case say that the man’s life in not at risk.
The incident is being investigated by the National Police force, and appears to be connected to rivalry between two family clans based in the area. The shooting occurred early on Monday morning, September 29, in Calle Jaboneros in Malaga’s Trinidad neighbourhood.
According to the Diario Sur, various members from the two families ran into one another at a party in the area, and after a brawl, were kicked out by bouncers.
The men clashed a second time after meeting on the street, and sources say that during the confrontation the victim was shot in the abdomen in a drive-by shooting-style attack.
Some months ago, the two families met at the entrance to Malaga’s Hosptial Clínico, and shots were fired into the air, causing general panic, although no injuries.
The shooter remains at large and the National Police continue to investigate the incident.
