Taking up the Maroc Challenge for charity

RUI CABACO and Juanjo Llido have promoted La Nucia and the Maroc Challenge while rallying in Morocco.

The two Javea-based drivers will drive for the La Nucia Ciudad Deportiva team in the Challenge which sets out from La Nucia on December 6.

Meanwhile they are competing in the 2014 edition of the Panafrica Africa rally that ends tomorrow, Friday September 26, in Merzouga (Morocco).

The present rally has provided Cabaco and Llido with an opportunity to boost participation in the December event, they said.

The Maroc Challenge is an off-road event that combines adventure and 2,000 kilometres of inhospitable desert landscapes.

The Spanishorganised rally is also a charity event and registration fees supply schools in Merzouga and other towns and villages on the rally route with materials, clothes and toys.

Vehicles must all be at least 16-years-old and car buffs can inspect them over the two days before the start at La Nucia’s Camilo Cano stadium.
