OFFICERS from the Guardia Civil seized 35 plants and arrested six people for offences against public health.
Guardia Civil agents have arrested six people between the ages of 25 and 55, residents of Balerma and Matagorda in El Ejido. They are suspected of various offences against public health as part of an ongoing investigation into security, smuggling and retail distribution of narcotics in Western Almeria.
The marihuana plants were located in Cañada Villegas hamlet in the municipality of Balerma and in Rambla de Loco also in Balerma. The investigation remains open and the Guardia Civil told Euro Weekly News that they are not ruling out further arrests.
