FREAK stormy weather in Almería yesterday (Tuesday September 23) caused disruption and damage to property across the region.
The Mayor of Lubrín, PSOE’s Domingo Ramos, has described how the weather phenomenon has caused significant damage to the town, including three houses which lost their roofs. Thankfully no one was injured during the storm.
Those affected – shocked but unscathed – will be hoping for help to rebuild their damaged homes.
Mayor Ramos recalled how 20 years ago the town experienced a similar attack of strong wind which was perhaps of even greater intensity.
Tuesday’s mini-tornado lasted for around 10 minutes and moved from the La Fuenblanquilla area up to El Saetí.
