Barranc de l’Infern
CALPE’S water from the Pozo Lucifer well in the Barranc de l’Infern is now legal.
This well has guaranteed Calpe’s domestic supply since 1988 and the CHJ water board finally approved the concession decades after Calpe, Murla and Vall de Laguart first sought permission.
Shared administration of Pozo Lucifer between Calpe and the two inland towns ensures a reliable supply for all three municipalities, said Calpe’s Mayor Cesar Sanchez.
The consortium will be presided over by the Mayor of Vall de Laguart, Francisco Gilabert.
Each municipality will be charged on a monthly basis according to the amount of water supplied.
Aguas de Calpe will be responsible for maintaining infrastructure and making available the requested volumes of water.
