Cleaning plan

THE PSOE party in Marbella has demanded that the council put a cleaning programme in place which reflects the needs of the town’s residents.

The socialists have asked the town hall to put an effective plan into action which includes urbanisations like Artola, and not just the town centre.

Socialist spokesman José Bernal also said that any cleaning plan must include provision for pest control as this summer has seen a upsurge in pests and foul odours emanating from Marbella’s drains and sewers.

Marbella’s sanitation representative, Eloy Ortega, accused the socialists of trying to tarnish the town’s excellent reputation after a summer that has seen record numbers of tourists visit the area.
