Trafico thieves are arrested

TWO men, aged 31 and 46, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery in the Trafico vehicle licencing office in Palma.

The two men, both Italians with extensive criminal records in their own country, were caught by a member of the public after they broke a window to gain entry to the building.

The men fled, but police began investigations, discovering that the men had allegedly committed other offences previously.

After the arrest, National Police retrieved various false documents as well as tools to aid in robberies.

After the investigation, police have suggested the break-in at Trafico was in order to gain material for forging documents.
