Man arrested with fake gun in Palma

BOUNCERS at a bar in Palma who were threatened by a man with a fake gun wrestled him to the ground.

The incident occurred when the 49- year-old man, of Lebanese nationality, attempted to enter the bar.

Known to the security staff as being involved in previous incidents, his access was blocked.

The man pulled a gun and threatened door staff.

The staff reacted instantly, wrestling the man to the floor.

Moments later, police arrived and arrested the man for alleged threats.

They also discovered that the gun was a fake.

The previous day, a 64-year-old man was arrested for threatening security staff at Oliver market with a knife.

The man was well known to security for stealing previously.

The man pulled a knife but was arrested and found to be carrying a second knife in his clothing.
