Balearics top hotel price list

THE Balearic Islands rank as the Spanish region where travellers paid the highest price for hotel stays. According to the Hotel Price Index published by Hoteles.com, the Balearics recorded some of the largest price increases this year. Ibiza topped the list with the average price per night standing at €163, a rise of 22 per cent. Nationally, the average price paid by all travellers is €107 during the first half of 2014.

Mallorca was next in the rankings at €134, an increase of 15 per cent compared to the first six months of last year.

Tourism was also improved with the islands being favoured by international visitors
