THE Stacey Mowle Appeal needs to raise half a million pounds to help a young girl get the treatment she needs in America.

A brave young girl called Stacey Mowle was diagnosed with the very aggressive form of cancer, Neuroblastoma five years ago. Being an avid Tottenham Hotspur supporter, members of the Spurs Supporters Spain Society have started raising money to assist and help her get to America, where she can get the treatment she so desperately needs.

The goal is to raise £500,000 (€600,000), and former Spurs player Graham Roberts, who is the Fundraising Ambassador, is backing the appeal along with a host of well-known celebrities from the UK, such as Linda Robson, Joe Pasquale and Doctor Pixie McKenna amongst others.

Events are being staged between Spain and the UK, to help this young girl, with sky dives, golf days, sponsored walks and cycle rides already being organised across the southern counties of England. The first event staged in Spain by the Spurs Supporters Spain (S.S.S.) was an ice bucket challenge at Moores bar, when eight of the S.S.S. club took part and raised €120.

Plans for October are kicking off with the club Secretary, Graeme Clark, agreeing to a tee total month in a campaign called ‘Go sober for October.’ At the same time, other events are being organised in bars and restaurants to raise money towards achieving the target figure needed.

Events in November are also in the planning,  Moores Bar and the Marina Sol Restaurant in Cabo Roig are hosting a joint evening called ‘Legends Evening’ on November 15, starring Graham Roberts and Stephen Sedgley, as well as members and supporters of Spurs, Liverpool, Newcastle and West Ham refraining to shave for an entire month. The S.S.S. are also appealing for other club supporters in the Costa Blanca South area to step forward and take up the ‘help save-don’t shave’ month.

For more information on any of these events or if you would like to participate, please contact Graeme Clark on 966 764 403 (office hours 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday) or log onto our website www.spurssupportersspain.com. Alternatively you can pop into Moores Bar and speak to Martin.

Please help support this cause, your donations will save this girl’s life.
