Emergency landing In Barcelona as Russian airliner catches fire

TERRIFIED passengers on a Transaero Airlines flight bound for Moscow, sat petrified as they witnessed flames burst out of the plane’s engines in mid-air, just after the plane had taken off.

A woman passenger filmed the horrific moment just after take-off, from her window seat. The footage, filmed from her video camera, shows 59 seconds of the flames as they caught light. 

The woman said that the “flight began to shake, just after take-off” and that the plane was forced to return quickly and land at Barcelona Airport.

The Boeing 767 made a safe landing at the airport and passengers carried on their journey the next day on another flight.
