The President of the Commonwealth of Costa del Sol-Axarquia Municipalities Oscar Medina defended the support they provide to local towns last week. The support aims at improving the quality of life of neighbours, said Medina after a meeting with Sayalonga Mayor Antonio Jesus Perez to discuss future projects and investments.
The meeting was proof the cooperation between the Commonwealth and Sayalonga, said Medina and added that the Sustainable Tourism Initiative of Axarquia (ITS) is to grant a €50,068 subsidy to Sayalonga to improve the accessibility and access to Museo Morisco. Earlier this year the Commonwealth provided a €4,732 grant to the municipality, as part of a €130,000 budget to be invested in projects in the Axarquia.
Mayor Perez thanked the Commonwealth for the allocated funds and emphasised how important it is to build new infrastructure in Sayalonga to promote its development.
