New store for ALDI

ALDI has opened its 50th Andalucia supermarket with a brand new unit in Almeria. The new supermarket is on Carretera Nijar – Los Molinos, close to the roundabout of Estadio de los Juegos Mediterraneos, covering an area of 1000 square metres of shop with an additional 200 metres square of warehouse, as well as more than 80 parking bays for cars. It stocks 1200 products, making it one of the more versatile supermarkets in the area.

Mayor of Almeria, Luis Rogelio Rodriguez-Comendador, was at the opening ceremony along with Aldi sales manager, Miguel Coloma. The day brought many customers along, eager to see the new store, pick up some bargains, and enjoy the fun.

Miguel Coloma said, “The largest commitment of our company is to provide high quality products at the best prices and despite being a large company, with more than 5,000 stores in nine countries, Aldi has the spirit of a neighbourhood store”.

The mayor welcomed the opening, “because in times of economic difficulty, opening new stores and creating jobs is a very positive development, and if it offers quality at competitive prices, there is no doubt that this chain will succeed in the capital.”
