Maradona slaps journalist

Diego Maradona is a man known more for his exploits off the field rather than on and he has yet again hit the headlines. In an interview, the World Cup winner slapped a reporter for apparently winking at his former partner.

The man has hardly been out of the news in 30 years including fantastic goals, handball goals, drug problems and managerial flops. This time he has caused a stir after getting out of his car and hitting the reporter.

Reportedly Maradona had been watching a production at a theatre with Veronica Ojeda and their son Diego Fernando on Saturday. He had seen the man gesturing towards Veronica and was not happy.

This latest event is surely not the last story we will read about Diego who, to his credit, can never be called boring.
