Biggest liner cruises in

THE biggest cruise ship in the world is to visit Malaga in September. The MS Oasis of the Seas, operated by Royal Caribbean International, will arrive in Malaga on September 11 from Fort Lauderdale before returning to Barcelona, her base port.

Launched on November 21 2008, she is 361.6 metres long, has 16 passenger decks, weighs 225,282 tons and can hold up to 6,365 passengers. 

The ship can reach speeds of up to 22.6 knots – 41.9km/h – and has several bars, lounges, stores, a miniature golf course, a comedy club, a Karaoke club, five swimming pools, basketball and volleyball courts, 10 whirlpools, two rock-climbing walls, an ice-rink, amphitheatre, tattoo parlour, numerous restaurants, a hand-carved carousel, a 3D movie theatre, a water park, a park with as many as 12,000 plants and countless two-storey luxury suites.
