Toddler Drowns in Costa Blanca

The Guardia Civil have confirmed a 4-year-old boy has tragically drowned in a swimming pool whilst holidaying in the Costa Blanca.

A French family holidaying in a private villa on the Costa Blanca are in mourning following the sad loss of their toddler 4-year-old son. The infant lost his life after falling into the pool on an urbanization in Altera, Alicante province on Sunday evening.

Paramedics were called and rushed to the scene. The child was unconscious when pulled from the water; ambulance workers were unable to revive him.

Throughout the month of July 32 people drowned in swimming pools, rivers and the sea.
