Spain to rein in booze resort

Magaluf has recently stated that it intends to change its rules and regulations on the infamous alcohol and sex trips in the resort. Local authorities want to toughen up the law to alter the image of the area where 85% of tourists are British and most come for extreme parties.

Magaluf is known for its cheap drinks and lifestyle which attracts many students and young people. Recently all the attention has been on the closing of one bar, Playhouse nightclub, where ladies were offered a prize of free drinks to whoever performed the most oral acts. It became viral upon hitting YouTube and the sunny resort wishes to avoid publicity of this nature. The company was also fined around €54,387,000.

The island wishes to bring to people´s attention some of the beautiful and serene parts that should bring a new type of tourism. Beautiful beaches, quiet villages and epic scenery can all be found. However regular images of the island that are seen in the news usually tend to be vomiting partygoers in the early morning or drunk antics taking place in swimming pools.

But for the regular British youngster, Magaluf remains a destination where cheap drinks will flow and sex is always a possibility.
