At least 65 Chinese workers have died in an explosion in Kunshan and more injured following a statement by the Chinese media.
Large amounts of smoke were seen to be coming from the car part factory owned by Zhongrong plating. The company has about 450 employees but on the specified day around 200 were present.
Many suffered horrific burns due to the explosion in the wheel hub polishing section of the building. The Chinese state police are investigating the causes and still trying to keep the death toll to a minimum with medical emergency staff doing all they can. Unfortunately factory explosions have been a real threat in China despite improvements in recent years.
