Bookmakers end royal baby betting

Bookermakers have halted betting on a royal pregnancy announcement this month, after a stream of bets were placed Monday night.

The bets were placed with bookmakers Coral, who had been offering 10-1 odds. After the flurry of bets, the company quickly reduced the odds to evens before pulling the offer completely.

“With Prince George’s first birthday just around the corner, the latest gamble strongly indicates that he could soon be joined by a little brother or sister,” explained Coral employee Nicola McGeady.

“In fact, there could even be double celebrations in the Windsor household next Tuesday,” she added.

Ladbrokes have also suspended betting on a July announcement after they cut their odds from 8-1 to 4-1 during the night.

Many foreign media sources have reported on the rumours, with some even claiming they have proof that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting again.

A source told Australian magazine, New Day,“Kate’s inner circle are buzzing with the news that she is pregnant,” said Hay, according to the Australian magazine.

 “I’ve heard it from several different friends of theirs now and they’re saying that they think there’s going to be an official announcement in weeks.”

 “Kate’s face is fuller like it was when she was first expecting George and she’s been changing her hair, which could be to disguise the fullness,” she added.

 “She has rosy cheeks, she’s letting her grey show again, and whenever she’’ out in public she goes to great lengths to hold something over her tummy.”

 Kensington Palace has yet to make a comment on the speculation.
