Wimbledon Moves Into The Last Eight

Novak Djokovic dominated Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in straight sets 6-3 6-4 7-6 to move into the Wimbledon last eight. He will meet Marin Cilic in the quarter finals after the Croat beat  in-form Frenchman Jeremy Chardy.

Australian Open champion, Stan Wawrinka, and World No. 10, Kei Nishikoria, both made it into the last 16 in matches postponed from Saturday due to the weather.

The 32 year old Spaniard Feliciano Lopez also qualified through to the last 16 against John Isner 6-7 (8-10) 7-6 (8-6) 7-6(7-3) 7-5, despite the ninth seed American hitting 52 aces.

Defending champion Andy Murray beat an impressive Kevin Anderson 6-4 6-3 7-6 (8-6) on the Centre Court, adding: “I got a bit tentative, but it was a good win because he was playing very well at the end, making it very tough for me.”

The 11th seed Bulgarian, Grigor Dimitrov, is scheduled to face Murray in an attractive looking quarter final. He said: “We get along pretty good – my team and his team are on good terms. There are always jokes between us.”
